Used SEAT & The Power of Branding
I have been quite interested in the power of branding and brand quality when it comes to the purchasing of new and used cars. It would appear that the kudos attached to the badge on the front of the car is more important to some prospective buyers than the engine specs, reliability factors, safety rating or any other myriad of attributes. The question is why a badge matters so much to some people.
Essentially the pursuit of an image over anything else is extremely shallow and very materialistic. A great example of this is the fabulous SEAT Exeo, which was released to critical acclaim but lukewarm sales in this country. What research tells us is that the SEAT Exeo is based on the Audi A4 platform and is virtually a carbon copy of its German counterpart. With the SEAT’s equivalent models being considerably cheaper than the Audi, you would expect the cars to fly off the forecourt. Sadly they didn’t.
This is a classic example of people buying into a brand rather than researching the car and making an informed decision. If potential Audi A4 drivers had done their research and not been too interested in the badge on the front of their car then they could have bought a SEAT Exeo and saved themselves a great deal of money.
If you want to get the best bargains available on this particular model then I would strongly recommend that you visit a Used SEAT dealer as they will definitely have some great deals worth checking out.
